The Smiddy.
On the card, at less than 300 yards, you'd expect to finish with
a birdie - and if you keep your head with a safe accurate teeshot
that's exactly what you get a chance for. But this hole is a real
score-wrecker. Gorse spells disaster either side of the fairway,
and as with most James Braid holes twhich feature a blind drive,
the aiming post is always the safest line, and prudence is advised.
