Kurt Mungall has been the Professional at Lothianburn since 1993, having served his apprenticeship at nearby Duddingston. A member of the 350-strong TGI, Kurt runs a friendly and very well-stocked PGA-approved shop.
Custom Fitting : Kurt stocks all the key names in golf equipment, and provides a full custom-fitting service (www.customfittinggolf.co.uk), for new and used irons. This is done with the loft & lie machine, as used on the PGA European Tour mobile workshop. Kurt can advise on the best lie and loft combination for your swing. Putters can also be optimized for more centre hits. Kurt is an official fitting centre for Titleist, Ping, Cobra & Taylor Made and recently made an expert custom fitter for Mizuno. Services includes custom fitting, swing tempo measurement, and demo facilities. Kurt's relationship with the manufacturers also means he can offer competitive prices throughout the range.
Coaching : Kurt has an excellent reputation and is available generally Tuesdays and Fridays, either on a one-to-one basis, or group coaching. A Digital camera and V1 software analysis is used (see www.v1golf.com), and each pupil supplies a USB memory stick, which the lesson is transferred onto. Kurt will also recommend various drills and swing checks to integrate the correct changes into your swing. Practicing as you play and taking your lesson to the course is emphasised.

Hiring - The Pro Shop also offers the hire of clubs, trolleys and motorised golf buggies.
